Springwater Trail Grand Opening

Photos of Amtrak 231's first public debut following preservation; it led the first Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation train from Brooklyn Yard to the future site of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center along with SP&S 700 and SP 4449. The two steam locomotives then double-headed to Oaks Park, a site the two locomotives had not returned to since being relocated for restoration to operation.
